In case any of you who gave me such excellent advice about my shaking legs on steep slopes are interested: a lesson in chamonix, particularly the exercise of traversing the slope on one ski, eventually made me realise that I simply wasn't putting my weight properly forward on the balls of my feet - especially on my left leg when turning right - when descending and turning on steep slopes. Thus loss of control. Problem now sorted and skiing improved immensely! Now I just have to summon up to courage to begin tackling black pistes...

Don't think of them as black pistes, but more like dark red ones :twisted:

That's great. It's amazing how much more balanced you feel doing that exercise when you are forward in your boot.
because I'm so inclined .....

Yep. The fact that I couldn't do the exercise on my left leg at all, but was relatively easy on my right leg, was the eventual giveaway.
