Insurance - Again

Hi Just received our renewal quote for a our Ski cover, we have it for multi-trips, family cover, & off Piste with a guide.

It has gone through the roof :twisted: More than doubled :evil: Looking for new companies any ideas.

I wonder how long it will be before all the Insurance Companies collectively include an 'All claims will be rendered Null and Void if you get injured whilst NOT wearing a Helmet' clause in the policy small print?

They can't as its not regulations.

They can make their own policy rules up about the Winter sports policy on offer and if they all do it then you will have no choice.

Well if they do I will either be FORCED to wear a helmet or ski without cover. I don't see how they can enforce it though if the lift companies, resort managers, etc don't make it policy to wear a helmet and there is NO sign of that happening just yet.

The helmet discussion has been done to death on here, and I think the conclusion was that people should be allowed the choice to wear one or not, but not make it compulsory. However it has been suggested that in this ridiculous H&S kind of world we live in, the time will come when it will become legal to ski in a helmet. We will see.

If they can find a way of getting out of paying out on a claim- They will.

Thanks in part to many fraudulent claims and foreigners driving without insurance on our roads.
