Hi,
We living in Australia and are considering a quick holiday OS for some skiing. We have been doing some research online but its kinda had to tell.
The dates we are looking at are between April 23rd and April 29. We see that Chamonix (france) and Engelberg has a season that covers theses date and that the resorts near Interlaken close April 25. Does anyone have any recommendations?
We are intermediate to advanced skiers.

I believe Hintertux in Austria is open all year round.
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

As Easter is very late this year most resorts will be open for longer than usual. Cervinia is open until the 8th of May, Saas Fee until May 1st. In Zermatt, Gornergrat and Sunnegga will be open until May 1st and the lifts in the Matterhorn glacier paradise & Schwarzsee sectors will be open until the 8th of May. All these resorts normally have good late season skiing.

Stay High, 1800 meters or above, book late to ensure snow coverage. It won't be busy at that time of year.
The Alps are suffering from less snow than usual and high temperatures. Although things are fine for now, there is only one quarter to a half the usual snow this season.
If you want guranteed snow and a different experiencewhy not try Finnish Lapland at easter. Somewhere like YllasJarvi and Akaslompolo, giving you both the alpine and cross country experience.
