Hi All

rain is forecast in Grand Massif (Morillon, Samoens)for the next few days and I am going on 17th

Is anyone there at the moment to let me know what is the snow situation and if I should be panicking?

I had to beg the OH to go on this trip and if it is a washout I will never ever live it down :!:
mum works too hard to pay for the ski trips!

Cwagner, what can I tell you, it is raining there at the moment...I am going out there soon and hoping for snow myself. I am sure we will be good though, the lifts were open last weekend and hopefully as long as it snows a little ( and it is The Alps!) we should be all sorted :)

It gets colder by Thursday you can see from the Les Esserts web cam link below that they have had the snow cannons on and they have been building up snow during the previous weeks cold spell, I would not worry too much.

As I think i might have mentioned before I love the Grand Massif and have been loads of times.
I've often watched the forecast of rain and worried, but It's always been needless - both Morillon and Samoens are quite low and if it's raining in the resort it's almost certainly snowing above 1400/1500 m.

Just you wait for that view from the Massif express in Samoens as you 'go over the top' just before you alight in 1600.

I'll never get tired of it.

Been pouring down here in Morzine snow due tomorrow the locals say it will give a good base if it is too cold too soon the snow blows off the mountain
some lifts were open last weekend
its all going rapidly downhill!
