Stayed in Arc 1600 last year - happy hour was 3 Euros a pint. Double it out of happy hour!

There were a couple of restaurants and bars that I liked, I'll have to do some research into what they were called.
JonG knows the place inside out, he's your man.

just trying to find names that jump out at me...
L'equipage under the Transarc gondola is really friendly and cheap.
Le Triangle Noir in the centre of the village is one of my favourite resort restaurants. A bit more pricey.
The bowling alley is fab, definitely worth a visit. Quite intimate, nice blue lighting, good music and bar service . Very chilled.
We used two bars in the evening. They are a few doors along from the bowling alley, I think one was called ambiente. They're busy at different times in the evening.
It's an odd atmosphere in 1800, it seems deserted until you get inside a bar or restaurant.
If you're staying at the Charvet part of the village then you're more likely to go to the bars, etc round there.
There are some mountain restaurants with an excellent reputation if you do some searching.

Have a good one

We were in 2000 last year and had a great time, but as Betty says, JonG is your man. He was brilliant at giving me lots of advice last year. Hope you have a great time

Hi,

Sorry I'm a bit late to post something ......never seem to have as much time on my hands lately :(

betty has pretty much already posted much of what I could suggest, with the l'Alpage and Le jungle Cafe being pretty good as well. To be honest I don't get along to 1800 for beer and skittles as much as I would like.....depending o whatyou are drinking and where expect to pay around 4 - 4 1/2 euros for a demi or there abouts, it may work out cheaper to buy the " beer pression" by the pitcher :D :D rather than say a couple of k1664's etc by the glass.

If you have transport, or don't mind a return taxi trip there is the always excellent L'Ancolie near Vallandry ,and La Ferme in the little village of Le Pre (which can also be reached via the Aiguille Rouge from Arc 2000) which can make an excellent stop for lunch, as can the restaurant Solliet which is located just up the slopes above Le Pre.

A lunch booking for La Ferme would be recommended but Michele normally has something on the go, but L'Ancolie will definately require a booking for an evening meal.

Have a great time in Les Arcs and have an enjoyable safe trip.

All the best
