Hi everybody, and HNY :)
We are going to Zillertal (Fügen) for next week (January 8-15) and would appreciate some experience based info about the existing snow conditions. preferred area would be Zillertal Arena, but the other ski centres of the valley would also be interesting.
Thanks and best regards,

Kindek,
We've been to Zilly twice and really enjoyed it. We stayed right at 'the other end' (Koenigsleiten), you can get all the way there via Zell am Ziller, its quite a big linked area.
If you get as far as the link between Zell and Gerlos, there is a good challenging (but not too scary) black down through the trees which also has a lovely little restaurant near the bottom - well worth a look!
Have fun - hope you get snow and sun!

I was in Fügen last year. If you are not on vacation in Zillertal it's perfect because it's located at the beginning of the valley. Otherwise I would recommend Mayrhofen too!
