Top stuff Tino. I know a lot of the runs, but only for alpine walking.

Sounds to me as though there is a manufacturing problem with your board, as though the edge material has been left in the annealed condition. Assume you are on your new board? If you google the board model for problems, you might get some feedback.

Yes, I have mentioned before that Skiline cannot possibly get near to your route length, it can only go direct line top to bottom. That is going to give you an accuracy problem, since many piste maps do not give piste run lengths.

Stay away from the gal in yellow! Oh, no, I forgot, it's not her!

Don't you have a "rock board" ? When you get a good board like a prior, you don't bring it out until there plenty of snow. If you are concerned, you can call Chris Prior, and check if there was an issue. It may well be that the edges are tuned at 87 degrees. The more acute the edge angle, the quicker they will dull. If you pick up an edge tuner and a diamond file, you only need a few passes each day to maintain reasonable sharpness.

Trencher, as usual the nail has been hammered on the head. I just couldn't wait to ride the Prior so she has been given some fairly stern challenges early season in Europe. Over the last few weeks she has seen more rocks than the Rolling Stones!! I had her tuned to 89° on Monday, and that is what Prior claim to distribute boards at unless requested, but still I persist on doing closed runs and abusing her. I will make sure she recieves the TLC she needs on my return. I am glad I started using her though, she has made me a far better snowboarder and that is testemant to the guys at Prior.

Here's the plan. Contact Prior, tell the board is brilliant, shame about the edges. If it doesn't work, mention Trencher.

Hmmm,Dave, that sounds a little pro-active for my liking.......

My plan....

Kil my edges
Complain a bit
Get my edges done
Love my board
Have a pint
Bass

I admit it's not elegant, but it works for me :)
