Soriška planina ski centre is 13 km from Bohinjska Bistrica (Bohinj).
There is 1 double chair lift and 3 draglifts. The ski centr is
~ 1300 - 1500 m height above sea level.
This ski center is already in community Železniki and
on this region are Italian border fortifications "Vallo Alpino"
made in years 1920 - 1940. From mountain crest is
good view to Bohinj / Gorenjska or to country Primorska

A mate of mine had 3 days in Bohinj and Bled a couple of years back and said it was absolutely stunningly beautiful. I think you'd need to be careful to time it right in terms of conditions, but its somewhere I'd have a few days at for sure.
