Hi all,
Im lucky enough this season to be doing 2 skiing trips, the 2nd is a return to Alpe D'Huez after a few years away but the first one is to Serre Chevalier. I've seen all the brochure info but would like any other info on the resort and snow.
Thanks

No I read it, you just seem to be softening to France, my stuff is getting all booked now Just gotta book some accommodation in Livigno, they are notorious for not wanting to take a part week booking so I reckon it could be a late book if not it could be Austria, wouldn't that be a shock

I love this resort! Been there for the last two years and had a one day visit (from 2Alpes) the year before. The people are so friendly and the resort is huge!! gud snow cover and lots of different types of terrain to play on. You skiing or boarding and where abouts you staying (there are four points usually detailed about the resort.
Not ALL boarders sit in the middle of pistes.....

:DHi,
Serre Che is a great resort, with a very good snow record, it comprises four areas and is only a short drive from Montenevre and the franco/Italian border and from there you can ski into Claviere in Italy.
The town itself retains it's traditional features which can be non exsistant in some french resorts ,which adds to the charm .The last time i stayed there was 8 - 10 years ago now and went with a company called Ski Miquel,at their chalet in Monetier.
The area has skiing for all abilities with a few goos blacks dotted around. The last person to post a really good thread about Serre Che was Tony_H i think (from the season just gone) so he may well offer his always excellent advice....
One of the best resorts in france in my humble opinion.

This took a bit of finding, but its my review on my trip there in March. I didnt like the hotel, but I loved the skiing. So much so I am going back on 6th March 2009. Strangely enough, my other trip this season is to ADH.
Hope this is useful:
