I wish i was asking myself the same question

Bit of an open question really, as both countries have some awesome skiing. That said, my choice would probably be Argentina.

I'm heading for Portillo in Chile in July, one big consideration was proximity to international airports. It is about 90 miles north of Santiago, so not too deadly after an 18 hour flight

Notwax has been used on the dry slope race circuit for about 5 years now. it really helps to reduce the friction and prolongs the base life of the ski, which really take a hammering on the plastic mat. It certainly does not do any damage at all to the bases.

What Ian was trying to say was that he has not been to Chile and has nothing to contribute  On the other hand there are plenty other internet resources with info on Chile/Argentina. Your best bet would be a U.S forum called TGR. I would search before asking though 8)
