Zermatt's lift company have announced that they will open an extension of the Matterhorn-Express from Schwarzsee paradise over Furgg to Trockener Steg next winter.

The new cable car will offer guests more comfort with modern eight person cabins transferring guests directly from Zermatt to Trockener Steg making the time for the single trip up to Trockener steg only 25 minutes!

Aha, an experienced regular. I assume you would therefore recommend the place? I think I am going to have to go next season.

2007 and 2008 for me. It's pricey and it can take ages to get up to the snow. Yes, the queueing is like skiing on a Bank Holiday

You do get THAT view though :D
