Am off to Bardonnechia a week today with the wife and 2 kids. I have been skiing twice before but am having a last minute panick about taking the stuff we really need. Now, would it be advisable for the kids (6 & 9) to wear thermals under salopettes? My wife is a stick and really feels the cold in this country so I guess it makes sense for her to wear some. Where can I get some from as with only a week left I don't want to risk ordering some only to let Royal Fail cock up on delivery and find they arrive after we have got to the Alps!
Thanks

The kids are likely to need the thermals. The forecasts (which could be accurate/not) predict the extra cold weather to hang around in the Alps until at least the middle of the month.

Try your local TK Maxx, Millets or Blacks. You might even try Marks & Spencer.
Many of the online retailers do a quick delivery service where parcels are delivered by carrier not Royal Mail.

I have fond memories of Bardonnechia as a good place to ski :D

Not sure about the forecast but it is cold right now :XD: walking down the road last night could feel the cold through my shoes.

Aldi's have childens thermals on sale from today, I used a set from Aldi's recently in Austria and they were great and very reasonable.

I have used these people in the past and they have given good service, quality and at a good price. My daughter used them last year under her ski clothing and she never complained once about the cold.

Thanks for all your advice. I zipped down to the Mall in Bristol and snapped up some decent thermals for the kids from TK Maxx and got myself and the wife a pair from good old BHS. Should do the trick and think it's a wise move as it looks pretty cold out there for the moment!

Silk thermals are the sh*t if you can get 'em.
