On Inghams there seems to be some lovely hotels here, with fantastic facilities at very reasonable prices. We are good intermediates but are in to laid back cruising rather than adventerous off pisteing, is there enough variety here and at the Stubai glacier to keep us going for a week do you think?
PS We aren't bothered about nightlife and love empty slopes!!
cheers peeps, and a very Merry and white Christmas to one and all x

We stayed in Igls Jan 08. Stayed at the Eagles Astoria, very, very clean, well run, good food, nice pool/sauna, had no complaints. It is opposite the cable car station, right in the middle of the village. Igls is quiet, only a few other hotels, no bars etc. As for the skiing, well this was our first ski holiday, and not the best place for us, there are no blue runs, only reds and above.
Other guests staying at the hotel had returned year after year, because the free ski bus would take you to other resorts in 25 mins. This has now been stopped, so you would have make your own arrangements to get a good variety. We spent more time at Mutters in the end, really easy, quiet runs, and only 25 minutes from Igls.

I used to stay in the valley a lot when we lived in southern Germany, it was a good drive, easy road access, in my experience always good hotels, late/early skiing on the glacier and some nice stations linked by bus.
So, yes :D
