Just been out to the car and it's official, it's sleeting :!: Now before any of you that reside in the Alps or anywhere else currently blessed with 2 metres of snow start picking holes........ In my little corner of England this is something to shout about. Of course this means that the trains can't run, the gritters will still be tucked up in their depots, the Police will warn motorists not to travel unless it is important (what, like going to work then?) and thousands of people will 'phone in tomorrow morning and claim they can't get into work due to the weather.

Meanwhile under 2 metres of snow in the Alps the world keeps turning......
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

I am in a similar sitution I lived in the part of Ohio known as the snowbelt. We get HUGE amounts of snow from the lake. We would be under 2-3 meters of snow and life was great.

Now that I'm living in South Ohio where people freak over 1/2 inch it's quite funny. I'll take this moment to discuss my displeasure for the lack of snow in Ohio as well as Aspen!!! I'm hittin' the slopes in 3 weeks and I'd like...........SNOW. :P
Uh oh, I think I broke'd the lift

I think it does for here. I am in bedfordshire, and it is sticking to the cars.

Can't see it staying though.

How bizarre :!: Just gone back outside again and the sleet has indeed turned to snow - just a few miles up the road from you in Raunds. Think the dry slope at Rushden might be worth a shot

:D its amazing how a few miles can make the difference, had about an inch here but leaving off now and starting to get a bit slushy, thought i would have to finally give in to winter and put my shorts away but if it melts by morning the world will have to put up with my nobbly knees for another day or two,:D
