Right here?s a challenge:
Some of you might remember me from last season? I fell in Austria and bust my ACL. Well I?ve been re-habing like mad and my consultant has told me the next thing to do is don my brace and go ski?then depending on how that goes we?ll discuss surgery.
This happens to coincide with my big brov. offering to stump up for a chalet for a big family Christmas holiday. What a great opportunity (my coffers are pretty low this year and skiing was going to be a stretch). But I?m trying to find a catered chalet for 10 (we want sole occupancy) it has to be a reasonable drive from Calais, not too far from an international airport (big brov. flying in from JFK), snow sure and with skiing to sort all abilities. I?m not even sure I?ll be able to bring myself to strap a ski back on so I?m looking for wide open blue runs and maybe something else to do if I bottle out.
Any ideas?

I read about your accident a wee bit ago. Meee Ow that bites. On the Contrary I've been in the same boat and still kinda of am. 1-27-07 I went skiing for the first time and wrecked big. Then I went out to Hintertux in July and got hesitant and spooked when I got up to the glacier cuz I didn't want to mess up my knee. Ended up coming very close to dying, My advice is to invest in a good brace that won't let you down. A pow wow with a good psych and just try the little things to get your confidence back up. You'll get back out there! Good luck and have fun
