Who do you recommend for over 60s insurance. My annual trip insurance doesn't have it this year for some reason and they want £180 add on.

I've used Goodtogo for several years. I broke my leg 3 years ago and they sorted me out, got me home, paid up etc.. so I've continued with them as the system worked. Happy skiing!

Look at www.moneysavingexpert under travel insurance and it will give you a number of options on both price and cover levels. I'd recommend not going for the cheapest unless you only need the hospital cover part which are usually all the £10 million +. For the rest, see how much you lose if say the holiday got cancelled or delayed

I would recommend the Post Office, made a claim for a cycle accident that involved a hospital visit in Spain, didn't have to pay the excess as it was just medical. Then claimed again to cancel a further cycle holiday that was booked and couldn't go on due to the injury, had to pay the excess but it was all sorted really quickly. Would add that at renewal it was cheaper to get 2 separate policies rather than a joint one
