Buy your own gondola cabin from La Plagne

Over one hundred six-seater gondola cabins from the old Roche de Mio lift – first constructed in 1975 - are being sold, with a starting price of EUR500 each.

You'll have to collect it from France, and you'll definitely need somewhere to put it in the UK, but later this month there's a chance to buy your own piece of La Plagne history.

The auction will take place on 28 June 2025 at 2pm on location in La Plagne, but also live on AGNE TARENTAISE and live on their website.

If you are successful you will need to organise to collect your cabin on 05 July, although 'lifting equipment will be present on site to help successful bidders load their cabin' onto transport.

The auction does note that the cabins to be used for 'decorative' purposes only and that are not suitable for running on a lift (just in case that's what you were thinking of!)

I would like to ask whether the offer is still active. I have been looking for a gondola for myself, and if possible, I would be interested in purchasing two units, depending of course on the final price.
Alternatively, are there any new auctions planned in the future?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
