how to get from lyon to val cenis?

hi everybody, has anybody any tips on how to get from lyon airport to valcenis next january. we are reluctant to hire a car as we would not be used to snow on roads. Private transfer is very expensive much more than the flights. Any help would really be appreciated, aq :lol:
