Yes! Stayed there many many times and it's superbly placed. Out onto the blue down to the lifts and straight out. Then a cruise down L'Arpette at the end of the day - dodging the carnage as you approach the back of the chalet.

Wonderful spot once you get to know the runs.

Yep agree with Guy re location . But depends on your ability. It may be a blue but the position on the piste first thing in the morning is not great for kids. It's either hard packed or gets very bumpy in the afternoon and people tend to be careful at this point which can make it busy. There is also not a large flat area to put your skis on, so get ready to put them on when stood on bumps. We ski at Belle Plagne every year and tried Les Balcons for the first time in March and decided not to bother going back. Decor is dated. Buses arrive at about 5am and sit idling outside (we faced onto the road/turning circle rather than the slope). Underground parking was great and the real bonus was the swimming pool and sauna, although my 18 yo daughter didn't feel comfortable going in the sauna as there were lots of blokes on ski trips. There is a bar and restaurant in the block, otherwise you'll need to head into BP.

Thanks to both of you for your answers. I decided to book it. It is all the family going. Grandchildren for the first time. Husband and I have been going to Plagne Bellecote for years and know the runs just never stayed at Belle Plagne - only skied through or past! This was one of the few apartments that suited our living/sleeping requirements. Our sons are both qualified ski instructors so I think the rest of the family will be fine but will bear in mind all the points you've mentioned. Thanks again.
