Hi All,
Anybody got any contacts for long term winter sports travel insurance?
Current policy will only cover trips up to 60 days, but we will be away for 70+ days.
Ideally would like to get a 'top up' policy to cover the additional days over the 60 covered on existing policy.

Cheers.

We usually go for 8-9 weeks and found Goodtogo insurance quite competitive.

Try Dio Montagne. It covers all year sports insurance. It covers mountain rescue, injuries etc ,but is not travel insurance in that doesn't cover cancelled holidays, travel to and from UK, or loss of equipment. I think it was less than 200 euros for the whole family. Also look at Carte Neige

Thanks All for responses, but no luck I'm afraid.
I should have mentioned that the trip will be to Austria, so the French companies won't cover and the others will not cover trips longer than 60 days.

Will just have to keep looking unless there are any more suggestions.

DougR, just a thought, but surely seasonaires get insurance for the entire season, perhaps that might be a route you can look at.

Good suggestion FQ.
Got fixed up with Big Cat Travel. Good cover at competitive price.
Roll on ski season.

Good to hear you got it sorted, probably too late now, but for future reference and anyone else looking, I have just read elsewhere that the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) do specialised winter sports cover, including season cover.
