Suggestions 4 alternative resorts or skiing on own

My friend who does all th ski organising and deciding on where to go...has mentioned sallbach this year. Im sure it will be lovely...but it seems quite pricey ive looked on crystal ski and around 900 sterling half board...never mind ski pass lessons n gear..so im unsure at this moment and time if i will go...is there newhere cheaper and good?

Was in kaprun last year...slopes here great but social evening side rubbish...and have been to niederau 3 times....loved everything about here all 3 times....

If i decide not 2 go with the girls...i might just decide 2 go skiing on my own....did that once before in Niederau and it wasnt 2 bad a bit lonely but not horrendous.

Any suggestioms other than sallbach? I still take lessons...ski okay...doing Black's and off piste but still need the control of ski instructors so i dont go crazy....have tendancy 2 go too fast..or too adventurous on own...so lessons r a must so i can improve...friend was planning on around 7th march. I think mayb her mind mayb madr up about sallbach...but wud b good if anyone has any other recommendations...if she insists on sallbach i may very well just drcide 2 go on my own....she does all organising 4 every1 which is great. Fantastic even to get every1 2 go...

You could try St. Johan. A bit more life than Niederau, whilst not being a huge resort. Plus you can get the train from St. Johan to Kitzbuhel if you fancy somewhere bigger with even more life. The train journey takes about 15 mins and I think the cost may be included in your ski pass. However your St. Johan pass will not include lifts in Kitzbuhel, so you would need to get a larger area pass. St. Johan accom costs are much less than Saalbach or Kitzbuhel so its a reasonable place to stay. St. Johan town is really nice with some good bars, and if the worst should happen, the hospital is there also. Kitzbuhel centre is more up market and expensive, but good night life. Head for the Londoner bar if in Kitzbuhel.
Galtur may be another option, small resort and fairly quiet, but only a short ski bus ride from Ishgl which is a well known party resort, although can be expensive and very busy. Again, accom in Galtur is reasonable compared to other resorts.

Im sure you will find something, although single traveller prices are always on the expensive side.

Another alternative is Solden. Fly into Innsbruck and it is a 60 minute transfer. Extensive skiing in resort and the lift pass also covers Obergurgl which is a 20 minute bus ride away. Plenty of bars and apres in Solden. Reasonably priced accommodation can be found if you stay away from the large hotels next to the main lifts.

i think 900 hb flight into Saalbach in early march a good deal.
maybe italy just as good an option.

personally id settle for few crowds at night for few crowds on the hill.
Anywhere in the Dolomites...

Try skimiguel..they do ski guiding so you dint have to ski alone..they have 2 grouos cappucino and espresso..so u choose and can swap during the day as gps meet up for coffee and lunch..they owm the chalets u stay in so really socialable and great food and value for money..

Niederau can be done for under Euros 40 per night b@b, eat out for about Euros 15 per night.

I'll be there for most of January, and a week in February. Maybe also end of season. Plus one other location in March. Have already bought my season pass.

You need to be able to fly to Munich, (my airport), Innsbruck, or Salzburg.
