Hello everyone !

I would like to ask where I can go skiing in Italy. I have little money because I'm studying, but I would like to find a nice place to ski.

I will be grateful for every offer! :) :-)

Welcome... you need to give us a bit more to go on! What level of skier are you? where in Italy? what sort of skiing are you looking for?

There are literally hundreds of ski areas in Italy, but you could start with J2Ski's guides to Italian ski resorts.

Hope that helps, but it's difficult to advise without knowing more about you.

The Italian ski resorts tend to be better value for money than their counterparts in France as a generalisation.

Sauze D'Oulx being one of the larger ones and can be accessed relatively easily from Turin by Train to Oulx and bus up the mountain. However currently the link to the rest of the Milky way is restricted by piste closures leaving only a black run back from Sestriere and Sansicario.

I would recommend the Dolomites i.e. the ski resorts located in the villages of either Val Gardena or in the following valley of the Alta Badia area. In the Val Gardena area I recommend Selva. You can contact the Tourism Office: info@valgardena.com and for Alta Badia see altabadia.org and the Tourism Office info@altabadia.org. The tourism office is there to guide you to the cheaper accommodations. You could go to a B&B or stay in a private home that offers rooms. We are from Ottawa in Canada. We have been going to Selva in Val Gardena nine times already. We love it. We are not interested in going anywhere else in Europe. The Dolomiti Super Ski pass gives you access to 1200km of ski slopes. We are expert skiers but the runs are mostly for intermediate skiers: we don't mind at all. The food is amazing, the ambiance is wonderful.
