Austria tomorrow

Hello Everyone

Me and my son ( 8 ) are going to Austria tomorrow morning. Want to go skiing, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I have not yet booked anything, as I want to go for the best weather conditions (Sunny spells). We are open for anything :-)

Any suggestions? I can see, there will be pretty heavy snowfall in Vorarlberg, but they will also have the sunniest Saturday.

Where are going to in Austria? East or west?

Where the best conditions are. Will be driving from Denmark today.

Forecast shows a band of heavy snow moving NW to SW across Austria in next 48 hours. Sunshine follows so western resorts (Vorarlberg/Tirol) will get the best sunshine on Saturday. Having said that the snow will probably fall as heavy rain at resort level in lower resorts. In addition the snow will be accompanied by very high winds so any skiing on Thu/Fri is likely to be very restricted in a lot of places. If it was me I would head for West and high up. You have already mentioned Vorarlberg which fits the requirement but getting accommodation might be an issue - the Saturday/Sunday sunshine will draw in a lot of weekend skiers....

Thank you very much. We chose St. Anton, and after alot of phone calls, we finally found something near the Sonnenkopf lift.

We are now in Germany, close to Ulm, and will drive the rest tomorrow Morning.
