Hi,

Im in Hakuba from 8 March for the first time, from what I can see online Tsugaike and Cortina are likely the best resorts, has anyone been there recently?

Hello,

My bf and his friends had just returned from Hakuba, whilst i hv been there 2 yrs ago.

Hakuba itself has a number of ski resorts thus can fit everybody. On 15 Feb after snow storm and thats a sunny day, many hiked up a bit from the too lift of Happo one for off piste. Whilst every resort has their sweet points, though none can compare with those in Europe regarding the average length of slopes.

Ah Btw the temp is really mild around the world from this week (i am also suffering from wet snow in central/northeast Jpn now), so cannot expect real dry snow even in most part of Hokkaido.

Thanks Lli, hopefully the mild weather does not have too much effect.....Im sure it will remain skiable and the beer will also be cold!

Gd luck.

Here in Geto Kogen in Iwate Perfecture slopes are quite icy due to no fresh snow. No way for powder skiing, no gd for tree runs too.

Wish u hv the luck.
