Looking to drive down for some late-season skiing early April - can anyone recommend a resort in the French Alps that is motorhome friendly, ie. electric hook-up, toilet discharge and free parking close to lifts?

Did you check with the U.K. Camping & Caravan Club? I saw a YouTube video yesterday posted by a guy who took his Airstream to Bourg St Maurice this winter (AFAIR that's where he was). I can't remember what he said about having full hookups or not. I'm interested in this topic too.

I seem to recall there is an RV park in Alpe D'Huez. Pretty close the the lifts and other stuff too.

There is an aire at Les Deux Alpes with electric and toilets but it is also the coach park. We go to Champs du Moulin campsite in Venosc. It sits below Les Deux Alpes and is a lovely base if you don't want to use aires. The campsite had all the amenities you need, restaurant, sauna, drying room, laundry etc. LDA is accessible by gondola about 500m from the campsite. The only downside is that the gondola stops at 7pm and if you miss it, it's a very expensive taxi ride back. LDA is a glacier resort so pretty much guaranteed skiing.

I've seen quite a few places in the mountains with places for RVs..Les Gets has a big park ..there is one at La Plagne and I have seen one going round the Sella Rhonda and I am sure les Menuires has one...why not bang an email off to the tourist offices

Hi All - I hope this allowed because it might help some of you out - we toured the Alps last year and dragged together a load of information because we really struggled to find any that was up to date or even compiled - we have a section on winter campsites and aires here - does feature Aple d'Huez and a few others...
