Samoens, Morillon or Flaine

I am a beginner skier, going to the Grand Massif in mid-March. I would love to know whether non-skiers (parents taging along) could get transport up from Samoens or Morillon to Flaine by gondola or some other means. They will definitely not ski but are keen to experience the scenery of the area.

I seem to think that staying up in Flaine for a week would be too boring for them, and so a resort like Morillon or Samoens are better options due to the fact they are more accessible by road to elsewhere!

As far as I recall, you can't get from Morillon or Samoens to Flaine without skiing. Morillon has a cable car from the bottom village to the mid station, and from there walkers can get a chair lift to the top, where there is a nice bar/restaurant. There is another chair from the mid-station to another restaurant, but I'll have to check for you whether this is OK for walkers. Morillon mistation is quite small, but has a few nice restaurants and a smashing little pizza place. As you thought, the bottom village is easy for travelling. Les Carroz, in the same area, is really pretty. Hope that helps!

No, there are very busy ski routes from the Samoens and Morillon slopes to Flaine.
And due to my hubby breaking his collarbone on the Samoens slopes I know that there is quite a long road trip from the Plateaux de Saix (I think) to Samoens village and then a 45 minute / 60 euro taxi ride back to Flaine
