Just to let you know that we will be giving a series of free Avalanche Awareness lectures this winter in Chamonix for all backcountry users. They will be on Monday evenings at 6pm at the Bighorn Bistro in Cham Sud. Dates: 17 Dec 2018, 7, 14, 21 Jan 2019.
The talks last around an hour, and are delivered by an IFMGA Guide. The presentations aim to highlight some of the main risks, how to minimise danger, and some emergency procedures if it does all go wrong.
