Hi
Have been searching for ways to travel to the dolomites, only flight options are either Munich or Verona, and I see there is a train that goes from Munich to Bolzano, just wondering if anyone has done this journey by public transport and can suggest the best route, or would it be better to get the train to Innsbruck and if so is there a bus from Innsbruck, no flight available from Ireland to Innsbruck.

If you fly to Verona there's a bus service from the airport to Bolzano, the journey takes 1 hr 30 min

Hi is there a bus from Bolzano to Selva/val gardena, not a private transfer

Yes, as mentioned above Südtyrol (Alto Adige) bus https://www.altoadigebus.com/ they run airport shuttle bus from Munich, Verona (and other airports) to Val Gardena. Normally the bus will take you direct from airport to Selva, there's list of accommodations on their online booking form

From Munich you can also take the train to Bressanone (Brixen) or Ponte Gardena (choice will depend on connections). These stations are reasonably close to Selva and I think there are local buses up to Selva or you could take a taxi especially if there are a few of you. The total journey would probably take quite a while to do unfortunately.
Might be easier to hire a car for the journey - that's what we are doing in February.
