Or planta fasciitus to give it its proper term. Have any of you skied with the condition?
It's not extreme for me, its mostly around the back and sides of my heel that aches, but having just booked a ski holiday I'm wondering about getting my boots on and off and skiing all day.
Does anybody have any suggestions that might help me? :(
Thank you

Try buying a pair of Oofos. I wear them all the time around the house, no problems with Pf at all now.

Thanks michelle63 ...I have ordered mine :)
Daved do the orthotic insoles just go inside your ski boot? Do you have to remove anything from the inside of the boot to allow for the extra volume of the insole?

you just take out the boot liner and replace the insole that is in it with the new one..then put back the boot liner ....simples! I was told that the made to order moulded ones are not really suitable for every day use so I just leave them in my boots..but I have been using the same ones for 13 years

I used to have it - was cured with a nice quick steroid injection into the sole of the foot - it did smart a bit though, but fixed it :)

I had the injection, very painful, and benefit lasted for only two days.
My doctor sent me to a foot specialist, who carried out measurements, and organised a specific heel insole for me. All carried out on the NHS. It transformed my life, in that I could walk normal reasonable distances every day.
I later bought a near enough size heel innersole from boots, not quite as good, but allow pain free walking.
My son, who became a Scottish volleyball champion, for some reason, went privately, and the innersoles cost £250.
