Who out there takes the ski hire insurance from the shop when they go?
Anyone ever had it and had to claim - any good?
Anyone ever lost/damaged their hired gear and not had insurance - what was your experience?

Worth checking your travel insurance; some winter sports cover includes damage/loss of hire equipment, although usually with a small excess.
