My family will be in Cervinia after Christmas - 1st skiing day Thursday 28 Dec, last skiing day Monday 1 jan (poss. Tuesday 2 Jan). My girls, aged 6 and 8, have never put skis on before and I am going to arrange some lessons for them. As far as I can gather having spoken to two ski schools in Cervinia (one of which I have used before) all of the group lessons run from Monday to Friday. If there is anyone out there who finds themselves in the same boat and would like to share the cost of private lessons I would love to hear from you. I am being quoted euros 135 per three hour lesson per day for both children ( I am thinking of mornings only at the moment). I do not yet know whether that cost would rise if there were more than 2 children but I am sure that whatever the cost it will be cheaper per head the more pupils there are. This is the first post I have put on this forum and not sure how it works so here is my personal email address: irbcook@gmail.com

It sounds like a great holiday ...but why not take them to one of the indoor centres here fore a lesson or 2 just to get them used to skis and perhaps learning the basics

I agree, its a shame to waste precious time in the alps just to learn how to snow plough (plow) on a green run
