Hi there, we are staying in Villaroger near Les Arcs and are beginner skiers. Can you tell us if there is a ski bus from Villaroger to Arcs 1600 or do we have to take the lifts....thanks in advance.

Having stopped in Villaroger a few years ago I'm afraid that its a long way to Les Arcs by road ...the only practical way is on the lifts

You need to check your options, if you are absolute beginners you will not be able to get to Arc 1600 on skis until you have at least mastered the basics, the connecting runs are simple and easy but you do need to be able to safely traverse them and the linked lifts. The simplest solution is to go to a snow dome or dry slope and master the basics beforehand. You also need to seriously consider the time to get to Ark1600 even on skis, you would be better with lessons in Arc 2000. Villaroger is not a resort equipped for beginners, you may have to initially take the lifts back down to the resort until your confidence / skill is higher.

Evolution 2 says it can arrange lessons in Villaroger if there are more han 3 people ...but at what cost ?

I'm not so sure there are lifts down to Villaroger. It's an old, slow chair up but does it carry skiers down too ?

It used to, so I presume still does, it needs to because the snow cover on the lowest lift is unreliable.
