Where to go for reliable snow in Mid April 17th Onwards

Hi,

I am looking at going skiing week beginning Monday 17th April. Where would be the best place to go in Europe to guarantee snow?

Is Austria any good? Currently looking at See I'm Paznauntal.

See's season is scheduled to end on April 21; make of that what you will. It's not a familiar resort, I'm afraid. April can be a good month to ski (I'm having a sneaky late week from April 23 but going high to a resort in Switzerland with a glacier as some insurance). Many Austrian resorts (Alpbach, for example) close on April 17.

I've skied Tignes the first week of May a couple of times and it's been excellent - and pretty under-populated too.
