New year snow resort first week in January

Newbie to the forum so please excuse if stupid question.
Looking for a resort to Ski first week in Jan farther and Son (54 and 25)
Have enjoyed a couple of trips to La Plange and Morzine over the last few year and found it good value but a bit unsure of the snow this early.
Are these good options? or can you recommend other resorts for more sure snow?
Will be looking for catered chalet.
Hopefully with good flight options.

I would have thought that the first week of January should be fairly quiet (I assume that you mean the first week proper, not the week with New Year's Day) and therefore you could leave booking somewhere to the last minute to get the best snow (someone please let me know if I'm wrong). Morzine is fairly low and I know that the season started late there last year (lots of pictures of green fields at Christmas).

Choose Paradiski or Tignes Val d'Iserewithe the glaciers. Go high, around 2000m for the resort. Tignes is ideal. Belle Plagne or Les Arcs 1950/2000 too.
