Hi all
Just back from another fabulous week in the 3V, great company, snow, apres etc.....
My only bug bear was our visit to La Folie Douce (my second visit after VDI). I try but just cannot enjoy it! I find it over pretentious and more akin to a club 18-30's bad party. Heading down into Meribel and going to Ronnies or Jacks which have great beer, live music and are far more personal and friendly, I was wondering if it's me getting old or do I have a point?
If it is just me then I can live with that!

Totally agree. It's a circus freak show to me and I like a good time. It's like expensive Benidorm on the snow.

To stop off for an early afternoon drink, it is OK but once the music starts and the monsters come out, I leave. However I do confess to owning one of their T-shirts but these are of good quality, unlike the majority of their clientele :-o

I'm 50 in July. I love La Folie Douce. I'm up on the tables with the young ones. I don't think it's an age think. It's just a personal preference. .........

Spot on Stevie.Used to have class now a place to avoid unless you want to join in the table and mooning events.Not been helped by a couple of TV documentaries featuring the chinless wonders egged on by financial
