Bit of a way off, but never too early to put it out there. We are mature couple retiring this year, keen skiers, and plan to spend next season in the Alps (without the seasonnaire work!!). We want to base ourselves in the Briancon/Serre Chevalier area and are looking for a long let accommodation from about November'16 through to April'17. A chalet would be nice, but apartment would do as long as it has two bedrooms to accommodate occasional visitors. Be very interested to hear from anyone who either owns a property or knows of someone who does? We're going to go out in the summer to hopefully firm up something. Thanks! :)

I'd suggest that you select a desired location and contact some rental agencies direct. We have an apartment in the Swiss Alps and every so often ourAgency will ask us if we want to rent it out for the season. Generally, both sides benefit as you pay much less than the standard weekly rate and the owner gets a guaranteed rental. The problem is that most owners will want to use their place for at least a couple of weeks.

Thanks for your reply. I am contacting owners on various websites and have a few possible favourable options to follow up. I do intend to get in touch with Agencies as well - would you mind letting me know which one you use?
