Is it going to Snow ?

Without wishing to appear cheeky, or to abuse an often-over-broached topic, please can anyone please offer a reliable source as to what weather conditions the area around the Kitzbühel Alps, in particular the towns of Niederau, Oberau, Thierbach and Auffach are expecting over the next few weeks ?

I am not the most resourceful chap in the world, particularly on the net, so please, anyone, let me know where I can find such information and my family and I will be eternally grateful.

If any additional info springs to mind on these towns (particularly as regards top tips for runs, which town/mountain is most appealing, must things to see and do etc), that would also be great.

Stumbled on this great site earlier today and put message on without surfing a great deal - yep, i know.....

Still would like a two week forecast however !

;) Think you will find it difficult to find such forcast, plus like this site says anything past 2 days cannot be relied on.

There is a website www.ifyouski.com That is a really handy site, worth a look there.

Any forecast over 3 days it's the same accuracy than a crystal ball ! You just have to be patient and check everyday, but we'll try to give you some news on live !

As Iceman says its more like guessing if you try and forecast any more than 48 hours in the mountains as one small change can dramatically alter the weather.

A site you may want to check out is

Its a model forecast of moisture content in the air. Therefore the amount of rain / snow can roughly be predicted. This too changes rapidly and you need to find out the freezing height to see if its going to be rain or snow. To get the freezing heights try the below site

metcheck also give forecasts.

I'm off to Andorra on 28th Jan and as you will see there is a large moisture content over the area on the tuesday and wednesday before (looking at the first link I gave). Dont bother with the animate button just hover your mouse over the hours above the map or use the >> button to move up in the hours as this gives you more info.

Both sites are updated quite regulary so its best to keep an eye on them.
