Hi guys, I'm all booked for 1st feb 2015 for Sauze D'oux, and I know it's a long way off. But the lack of snow everywhere has really got me worried. Most places seem to be struggling this year. Does anyone know of or have a website that can show solid forecasts for 2weeks in advance? Would love to see a good week of snow coming in to make me stop looking everyday praying for some more snow.

It is a long way off... you should be more worried about the hordes of J2Skiers skiing it out a few weeks before that...

We'd show 2 weeks if we thought it was useful... it isn't.

Alpine weather, and particularly snowfall, is highly localized and difficult to forecast. In general, forecasts beyond 48 hours should be taken with a pinch of salt.

7 day forecasts will give you an idea of the trends, but big snows come with un-settled weather when the forecasts are most dynamic.

Anything beyond a week out is fantasy TBH.

Advice? Relax! History says that a) Sauze is generally pretty snowy in February and b) one big snowstorm can completely transform a season. 8)

I agree with admin, Ben. It's like saying just because the snow is great now means it will be that way when it's time for you to go. It doesn't work like that. I'm off to Lech early in Jan and apart from looking because we are all kids when it comes to skiing, I'm not bothered in the slightest.

Enjoy your Christmas and I would wager the resort being just fine come February.

You do realise that putting salt in the forecasts has been getting rid of the snow.

....so now we all know who to blame.
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.
