hi does anyone have any first hand experience of Bardonecchia? We are looking at it for next Jan. Never skied Italy before and found a reasonable deal. Intermediate skiers not likely to go intentionally off piste!
Thanks
Snowlily

Hi snowlily, we have lived in bardonecchia for nearly 5 years and have our own chalet business sempreski. The skiing is perfect for intermediates but will accommodate all abilities to be honest. January is a great time to ski, the snow is fab and with the Italians only skiing on weekends you'll likely never to queue for a lift and have the pistes to yourselves. The village is beautiful and not purpose built like some ski resorts, lift passes, ski hire, drinks and food are a fraction of the price compared with France and alike. If you need any more info then send us an email. We still have spaces in January so let us know if you'd like a quote, check our website for more details regards Graeme and Kate

I appreciate that the previous posting may have had a favourable view of Bardonecchia, our experience (admittedly a couple of years ago) was less positive - chaotic queues, poor hotel. The plus was that a local snowboard school bent over backwards to fit us in when CRYSTAL had let us down badly on snowboard lessons for my son.

If you've found a good deal then go for it, you won't be disappointed. We have a flat in town and love the place for its genuine charm. Skiing is varied, prices are low, food and wine is great and we have FRESH SNOW,! Transfer foom Turin airport is very easy and fast, just over 1 hour by car or. 1 hr 20 mins by train. Don't know why I'm recommending Bardonecchia because we like it to remain a mystery to most!
