Looking for a Catered Chalet / Hotel in Champoluc Italy around 19/20 or 26/27 January (2014) one week for four adults double / twin rooms en suite, ideally Ski in/Ski out or short walking distance of the slopes. We are self drive so parking would be wonderful
Any help appreciated.

Exactly what he said. 8 of us stayed here last January and it's literally right next to the main bubble out of town. Nice hotel, decent food, lovely little town, fantastic skiing, cheap prices too.
Don't know if crystal will let you do self drive but if not try ski2 as they have lots of property here,

V. difficult to find catered chalet in Champoluc, but, best hotel for access to slopes is the 3 star Hotel Champoluc. Right beside the cabins and finishing piste right next to the Hotel. Have stayed there twice and as far as I am aware all rooms are en suite and it has a very nice atmosphere. Not sure about Hotel parking (have a look at their website?) but parking in the main (free) car park is only 200 metres up the road. The resort is absolutely excellent for all round skiers with a very efficient lift system and reasonable Italian prices. I think that Crystal Ski clients stay there so their brochure should give you an idea of looks/position etc. Best of luck.

I think a company called snow secrets do catered chalets in Champoluc but not near the lifts as the hotels have the prime positions and the hotel du Chapoluc the easiest of them all as already mentioned.
Basic twin room accommodation, food really good, friendly, nice bar for the evening but best of at the bottom of the main gondala in the morning and almost ski into the ski locker room coming back

Snow Secrets has ceased trading. Unless somebody has started up a chalet operation very recently i think the only accommodation there is either in hotels or self catering. Ski 2 Holidays, http://www.ski-2.com/accommodation/ has a list of the hotels and a map showing how far they are from the lifts.

I would book directly with the hotel; from 7th to 24th of January the hotels listed on the tourist office website are offering free lift passes if you stay for at least 6 nights. http://www.valdayas-monterosa.it/default_e.asp
