Hi, has anyone caught the public bus from Salzburg Airport to Zell am See, can you purchase tickets from the airport and/or the driver or do you need to book a seat in advance on-line? Cheers

I would catch the train to resort
Bus from airport to Salzburg train station is a 15 min ride & a couple of euros & runs every 10 mins & the train is cheap & stops in Zell in about 1hour 30 about € 50 euros if you book return trip

Tram runs from outside terminal to station 15 mins and as previously stated their trains are very reliable..

Trains leave on the odd hours at 8 min past, 11.08,13.08 etc
Trains leave on the even hours at 12 min past, 12.12, 14.12 etc.
Fare is €22.6 each way, one and a half hours, travel time.
Much as I am a fan of Austria, I use DBB for train info for many countries.

Hi, thanks for the help, i had considered the train myself, but the OBB website seem to indicate the bus 260 would be quicker, will check again! Cheers
