Hi,

I'm planning a 4 day skiing trip in Foppolo at the beginning of March. I would like to know what people think of the area and the slopes?

Myself and my girlfriend are both novice skiers with a little past experience.

Also, are there any ski hire shops available in Foppolo? I can't find any on the internet.

From what I have read so far is that this is a very italian orientated area - the only problem here is that my Italian is virtually non existant!

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks.

I've been to the nearby resort, San Simone, passing Foppolo on the way (they're only a few miles apart). It's a 1.5 hour drive from Bergamo, hence the reason I went there (commuting back to Bergamo each day). It's ideal for beginners. It's not a big resort, so it's not suitable for advanced skiing. But they fact that it's small means that it's quite.

You can be guaranteed that there will be ski hire available, it would be like a pub with no beer if there wasn't.

If you have a car you can try both resorts.

Thanks for the reply!

Also, anybody stayed at the Hotel Rododendro?
