Going to Zakopane 28/12/06, any idea about snow?????

Has anyone got any idea about what the snow situation is likely to be in Zakopane just after Xmas??

This is going to be our first trip to Poland, so it is a completely unknown entity to us.

I am going for the first time too and have my fingers crossed the snow comes out. 30% chance on Monday coming of snow :shock: For the record there is no snow there just now :?

I have my fingers crossed over the next few weeks. I have heard there is no snow in parts of Sweden just now too!

There was a little snow, but seems like it's mostly melted. total 6cm forecast over the next 7 days, 4 cm mid week.

We go on 28th December to Zakopane, any one else over there for New Years Eve???

Looking at a snow-forecast.com it says there is going to be 10cm this week (i did register!). Although it looks like it may thaw abit over the weekend. There will be a decent dump on Wednesday coming.

Hopefully it snows big time. Then it will be happy days over the new year!

Anyway I guess its all speculation unless someone there gets on the forum!
