So I'm planning a trip through Chile and Argentina in July and August this year. Any spots I should specifically focus on as a snowboarder? Would like to hit some back country as well and maybe some good spots to snowmobile. Suggestions? Tips?

Start in Santiago. Hit 3 Valleys and stay at the Blue Tambo hostel in Farrellones (Valle Nevado, La Parva, El Colorado. Talk the owner of Blue Tambo (my buddy pancho) into ripping you around on his snowmobile.

Then catch a bus down to Chillan in the South of Chile, make friends with a guide, hike and ride volcanos fun trees and some of the deepest snow ever (if you hit it right).

Then catch a bus over to Pucon, Chile and ride Ski Pucon (ghetto resort but it is on an active volcano and the terrain is super fun). Make friends with a guide, hike to the top of Volcano Villarrica look into the active crater and then snowboard down to a natural hotsprings and get you soak on.

Then take a bus from Pucon to San Martin De Los Andes and spend a night and ride a day at Chapelco. Then make your way to Villa Agnostura, ride some of my favorite trees anywhere and lines off the top at Cerro Bayo.

Then take a short bus ride to Bariloche and be overwhelmed by the size of this "ski town" spend a good week seeing everything at least. See if you can make friends with a guide and if you are of the ability go spend a night in Refugio Frey.

Then do the route in reverse back to Santiago but hit some of the smaller ski areas around Osorno before you take an overnight bus back to Santiago to fly home.

This is all assuming you know what you are doing in the backcountry, have a full avy kit and the training on how to use it. Never ride alone.
