Am just about to book somewhere for the 1st week of February - am looking for lots of nice easy cruisey blues preferably through the trees.

Snow looks pretty good everywhere at the moment so am hoping that won't be too much of an issue with the decision..........

So my choices are :-

- Val Cenis
- Valloire
- La Plagne (Soleil)
- Morzine

Your thoughts would be much appreciated :)

I'd go for La Plagne 100%

LA Plagne is about 50/50 with the trees.
Sure Morzine and Les Gets is more suitable for this?
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

Not been to any of the others but can certainly vouch for Morzine. Don't think lack of snow will be an issue first week in Feb.

Thanks to all for the replies so far - I have narrowed it to Morzine or Valloire now.

Morzine looks to have alot more tree runs which is what I'm looking for but a bit concerned its a lower altitude....

.....preciesley why I'd go for la plague. Altitude rules every time. Unless you can go once you into there's been fresh snowfall

Another vote for Morzine I would say....with the caveat that you wait until really short notice and see what the snow cover is like.

I always organise a big(ish) group holiday each year and have to book in September/October time so always go high and snow sure (La Plagne is great!).

However I have been mountain biking in Les Gets before now and the vilages, scenery, ability to ski/bike into Switzerland etc really makes me want to go there in the Winter....just to low for me to commit 18-20 people to in the Autumn!
