Need a Ski buddy in feb half term

Now last year that would have been perfect for Mr B who is of a similar ability and always skis these runs on his own. - Also not a stranger to a beer or two (or three)and at that interesting age (old). We went to Serre Che last year at half term - great place - but going to the Grande Massif this year - Maybe another year - Just one more half term ski for us before I retire.Bring on the cheap deals !!

This year I am taking my ski hols in Feb half term. On the list of possibilities are Serre Che, La Thuile or the Dolomites but I have a small prob. Mrs Bald-eagleman does not ski so will go walking, swimming etc leaving me to ski alone. Now being of more elderly status I am a little sceptical of skiing alone so if there is anyone in a similar situation let me know and perhaps we can arrange to ski together. (Ability..High Intermediate but will try anything but happy on reds, blacks and a bit off piste) -) _Do like the odd beer though!

I have a busy ski schedule coming up but keep us posted of when and where you are headed and our paths math cross. If so, happy to have a ski and some banter. I am an average middle-aged skier who has never grown up.

Sounds to me like you should book ski school. Many of the smaller schools, do excellent week long courses which would be perfect for you.
Reality is everybody no matter how good you are, everyone benefits greatly from a ski lesson. They are always fun, meet new people and much safer then skiing alone, if you want to be even slightly adventurous. I would check out British ski schools like BASS. If you were heading to Chamonix which would be perfect for your other ½ could give you at least 3 top recommendations.

I guess you are a teacher, who is about to retire. I am recently retired teacher of low intermediate skiing ability. I have a similar problem as Mrs Andid is not too keen on the white stuff, preferring coffee and hot chocolate and books.
It would be great to meet up sometime, I generally ski at Cerreto Laghi but am planning to go elsewhere either Italy or Austria sometime in February. Luckily, I have flexibility of dates and am no longer restricted to half terms. If not this year, maybe next, but let us know when you decide where you are going when decided.

Greetings all.
I'm a 50 year young (!) male skier from Canada that is looking for 2 partners to share a self catered studio for 3 at Sestriere, Italy, between Feb.16 to Feb. 23, 2013. I've been going to Zermatt in Switzerland for the last 2 years with 3 guys from work but our gang is split now (wives had nothing to do with that... Yeah, right!)and have been left all alone in my quest for another ski experience. That after I already booked a place, nothing fancy but clean and decent and close to center of town in Sestriere. Cost is 450 Euro for the week, split in 3 is 150 Euro each. Ski passes are 231 Euros for 6 days of skiing of the whole Milky Way (Via Lattea) area Sestriere – Sauze d'Oulx- Sansicario – Cesana – Oulx –Claviere – Montgenèvre, over 400 kms of trails. Let me kow if you're interested and I'll provide more information about the place and anything else. TTFN!
