I will be off to the 3 Valleys region of France for 2 weeks skiing on 13th Jan spending one week in La Tania and a week in St Martin de Bellville.
I am looking to book my ski pass online as I usually do for 3 Valleys. I see this year that there is Liberty pass which charges your bank account for the days used and at the rate which is applicable for the area skied.
The Liberty pass sounds good because I may take a day or two off skiing and may only keep to one area on certain days so it sounds like it may suit me. Does anyone have experience of this type of pass and is it good value for money or am I best to stick to a 14 day 3 Valleys Pass?

Well, as I understand it, the liberty pass only charges you the daily rate for the areas you visit, rather than the full area for each day. If you're taking a day or two off it makes good sense. If you're skiing each day, there's very little difference between a local area and whole 3V pass, so less worthwhile getting a liberty pass.
See you there...we flt out to Les M on 21st Jan!

You must also take into consideration the card will cost you 30 euros initially however you get 20% off day rate for Saturday skiing and 10% of day rate all others and the 9th day free so you can work out roughly wether it is a good option I think you may be better off with the full 3v pass I know I looked into this carefully as I am doing 3 weeks in the 3v and I will benefit because of 3 free days and also 2 saturdays

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'm going to do a few calculations to see what works out cheapest option.

I've done some rough calculations and based on 13 days the 3Valleys pass is €508.50 and the Liberty pass works out at €548.95
The cost of the Liberty pass would reduce if only one valley was skied in a day and if I took a day off but there is probably little difference overall between the two passes for a fortnight trip to the area.
