Hi all,
I bought the TomTom maps for the alps last year, and one rather important feature it didn't seem to have was to tell me when a road was going to be closed all winter...before I got to it.
Has anyone else used their TomTom with success?
Cheers.

Nope, you simply have to guess by looking at the height of the road on one of those contraptions called a 'map'.
The best thing I found with my TomTomwas when going up the bendy roads up hill it would think that it was a left/right turn. It was constantlly saying, "in 10 metres turn right, in 10 metres turn left......"
Take a shovel!
