Facebook postings

Before anyone says it the answer to this must be on this web site somewhere but i cant find it. :oops:

so the problem is i am getting all sorts of messages appear on my facebook wall from J2ski and i have no idea how to stop them or even be selective on what i want to appear on the wall. Only thing i can remeber that i think started this was i clicked on 'like' something and then all these messages started to appear..

can anyone help with this

Just go in to your account settings on FB and there will be an option in privacy. In that you can select individuals on your list and choose what you see from them and what they see from you.

Here's how you do it - I've just done this. In Facebook, click on the name J2ski on any postings. This will open a J2ski page. On the left hand side if you scroll down the page, you should see a short menu. One of the items should say "unlike". Click on this, and return to your own page and all the J2ski postings should have gone.

Spot on Allie..ALL of them have now gone..shame really because some of them were handy to see on FB but there was just to many..i dont suppose there is anyway of being selective on this or is it an all or nothing situation.

I agree - too many. I don't know if you can be selective. I suspect it's all or nothing. I prefer to keep visiting the J2ski forum on this website - it's very entertaining :lol:

Hi Paul, Allie...

Apologies if we were overloading you - the snow reports and forum have been very busy in the past week or so.

I have just reduced the frequency of our automated postings considerably so it should be less intrusive now. Perhaps you could re-enable (re-like) us and let me know if it's still an issue for you, or if it's now bearable?

Unfortunately, with the current technology, there's no easy way to filter - and FB's new user interface seems to be fairly random with what it hides and what it streams straight in.
