Hello,
Can anyone recommend a Ski resort in France good for Children beginner skiers and for non skiers?
We are planning a first ski trip in February with our 8, 6 and 3 year old and would like a resort where mum (who will not be skiing)can watch the kids on the nursery slopes. Ideally a typical Alpine village feel resort where there are also other activities other than skiing.
We plan to rent an apartment independently, then drive down from the UK.
Any help would be appreciated

been to La Rosiere with niece and nephew twice in recent years, stayed in chalets Petit or Grand Planica- excellent postion. the back door opens onto the kiddies nursey slope, then to the left is the bigger nursey slope which the kids will be on within a couple of days. catered chalet with swimming pool too- cant go wrong.

I can definitely recommend Montgenevre.
The slopes start and finish in the village. It's small so nowhere is far to walk. It's good value and easy to find kid friendly places to eat in the village at lunchtime (cheaper than mountain restaurants).
Also the added excitement of being able to ski into Italy and back.
Dedicated nursery slopes in the village and greens all the way from the top of the mountain back down again. Blues and easy reds galore.
The ski schools are very professional and most of the instructors speak decent English.

I can definately endorse Montgenevre as a great choice. It's super for kids and there's plenty of accessible, safe territory with lovely wide pistes and amazing views. Crossing into Italy is a bonus and lunch over the border is a must (cheaper too!)

Valmorel is the most child-friendly resort I've been too. Compact faux-village, loads of apartments, all sorts of ski-ing.
